چکیده

Aim: To describe a rare case of catecholamine induced polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.
Presentation Case: Intermittent attacks Ventricular fibrillation and syncope.
Summary: Catecholaminergic tachycardia (CPVT) is familial cardiac arrhythmia that associated with ryanodine receptor gene (RYR2) or calsequestrin 2 (CASQ2) mutation. It condition occurs in patients structurally normal heart leads to exercise/emotion triggered syncope cause fatal arrhythmias. We present the 21- year old female patient who was diagnosed this at age 10 years continues live healthy life.
Conclusion: Patients CPSVT require life-long beta-blockers might need an implanted defibrator.

Pilsicainide-induced polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.

An 82-year-old woman with a previous history of inferior myocardial infarction was admitted to our hospital with the complaint of syncope. She had received hemodialysis for chronic renal failure and an oral administration of pilsicainide (50 mg daily) for prevention of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. The ECG showed repetitive polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT) initiating from the same pre...

The Impact of Verapamil on Catecholamine Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia

Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) is a disease of mutation of family genes associated with exercise-induced syncope or sudden death. We report a case of a 27-year-old female with CPVT who had experienced several episodes of syncope and had been prescribed beta-blocker regularly. Sudden onset of ventricular arrhythmia occurred and the patient was resuscitated but remai...

Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia.

Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia is a rare cause of exercise-induced arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death in the pediatric patient. This arrhythmia is difficult to diagnose in the emergency department, given the range of presentations; thus, a familiarity with and high index of suspicion for this pathology are crucial. Furthermore, recognition of the characteristic electroca...

Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia.

Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) is an inherited cardiac arrhythmia disorder that is characterized by emotion- and exercise-induced polymorphic ventricular arrhythmias and may lead to sudden cardiac death (SCD). CPVT plays an important role in SCD in the young and therefore recognition and adequate treatment of the disease are of vital importance. In the past years t...
